I'm a wife and mom of two girls. I spent a year in Norway as a teenager, and something about that time — the candlelight, the weight of old things, the way a home could feel like it had been lived in for generations — never left me.

I've been chasing that feeling ever since.

This is where I share the objects, rituals, and quiet pleasures that make a house feel inherited rather than decorated. I collect things that look like they've been somewhere. I bake sourdough on weekends. I believe a candle and a good tablecloth can change the entire mood of a room.
